When I was at Wesley, we always had a memorial service for the brave past pupils who lost their lives in World War 1. (and 2) The school chapel adjacent to the main building on St. Stephen's green was dedicated to these brave ex Wesley boys. I was in the choir and I stood right next to the big plaque on which all the names of the Old Wesley boys who lost their lives was situated in the chapel. It's good to see that these brave Wesley lads have not been forgotten. William (Billy) Butt (WCD 1952 - 1963)

I read the fascinating article by Senator Neale Richmond about the Wesley College rugby team today in The Daily Mail! It is a poignant tribute to the sacrifice that they were willing to make and the price that they paid for their heroism during the War!

RESPECT

4 out of 15 is a bit above the average of 1 in 10 who didn’t come back alive.
